1. Overview

The Bangladesh Table Tennis Professional League (BTTPL) is a professional franchise-based table tennis competition designed to elevate the sport in Bangladesh through structured competition, player development, commercial growth, and fan engagement.

2. League Objectives

Season 1 Objectives

The inaugural season of BTTPL aims to:

• Expand the table tennis market in Bangladesh.
• Create professional opportunities for players and coaches.
• Increase competitive standards and player development pathways.
• Build a strong foundation for a sustainable professional league.

Long-Term Vision (Season 2 and Beyond)

BTTPL intends to:

• Invite international players and coaches.
• Expand the league’s global presence and commercial reach.
• Develop a sustainable and profitable sports business model.
• Strengthen Bangladesh’s position within the international table tennis community.

Player Retention

Players may continue with their respective franchises after each season, subject to mutual agreement among:

• The player
• The franchise
• BTTPL management

3. League Structure

Match Format

Each team match will consist of:

• 5 Singles Matches
• 1 Doubles Match
• 1 Golden Match (if required to determine the winner)

Final match regulations are subject to confirmation by BTTPL management.

5. Franchise Ownership Requirements

To qualify as a BTTPL franchise owner, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

Financial Eligibility

Applicants must either:

• Own a publicly listed company, or
• Demonstrate personal assets of at least BDT 7,700,000, verified through a bank certificate.

Governance Requirements

• No affiliation with BTTPL management.
• Compliance with all league ownership regulations.

Operational Requirements

• Ability to provide a home venue (subject to confirmation).
• Maintain official social media accounts on:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram

Franchise Fee

BDT 300,000 per season

6. Players & Coaches

Contracts

• Minimum salary: BDT 20,000 per month
• No salary cap
• Contract terms are negotiated directly between the franchise and the player/coach

Roster Limit

• Maximum of 12 players per team

7. Player Draft System

Players will be allocated through an official BTTPL Draft.

Draft Procedures

1. First-round conflicts involving player selection will be resolved through a lottery.
2. Draft order for subsequent selections will also be determined by lottery.

Additional draft regulations may be introduced by BTTPL management prior to the draft event.

9. Future Regulations

BTTPL Player Registration Requirements

All players wishing to participate in the BTTPL Draft must submit their application no later than two
(2) weeks before the official Draft date.

3. Playing Hand, Rubber Information, and Playing Style
4. Notable Career Achievements and Results
5. National Ranking and World Ranking (if applicable)
6. Overseas Leagues Currently Participating In (if applicable)
7. Desired Monthly Salary
8. Self-Introduction (Maximum 200 Words)
   Players who fail to submit the required information before the deadline may not be eligible to
   participate in the BTTPL Draft
